Where to Find Them

  1. Negawa Ryokudo, Tachikawa

How to get there:

  • Most convenient train station is Tachikawa Station (along the JR Chuo Line)

  • Approx. 15 minute walk from the station (from South Exit)

  • Flowering period: Late March to early April

  • Quiet, nature filled walking path along the Negawa River, perfect for those looking to escape the crowds

  • Take a leisurely walk or a bike ride along the river

  • There are many local cafes nearby to enjoy some seasonal sweets like sakura flavoured mochi!

  • Most convenient train station is Higashi-Koganei Station (along the JR Chuo Line and around 20 minutes from Shinjuku)

  • Famous for its historical connection to the Edo period and one of the largest parks in the areas

  • Waiting for your partner or friends to complete their sakura photoshoot? visit the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum within the park! (but try and help take some photos before you disappear!)
